“Love Your Neighbor”, an annual event benefiting The Heights Foundation, raised 5,000 for School Success programs for at-risk kids in Harlem Heights. The event was held at the Gulf Harbour home of Debbie and Tony Migliore. A pre-event VIP party was hosted by Helen and Lance Rogers.
Norman Love Confections and Mark Loren Designs helped create this signature event and have supported it since the inception. Guests enjoyed an assortment of culinary creations from local restaurants including Sunshine Grille, Cru, Traders Café, The Prawnbroker, Crave Culinaire and The Firestone. Norman Love offered samples of his delicious gourmet chocolates, and Wicked Dolphin Rum provided rum tastings. Auctioneer Scott Robertson conducted the live auction that included a Nashville Music Tour, a sunset cruise on the 101’ To-Kalon, a Scream guitar signed by Martina McBride and Billy Dean, and a one-of-kind Mark Loren necklace.
2014 sponsors included Cheryl and Dave Copham, Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union Foundation, The Fernandez Family Foundation, Re/Max Realty Group – Michael Frye and Colleen Senda, Mrs. Bernese Davis, Private Client Insurance Services – Elaine and Fred Hawkins, Vicki and Richard Pitbladdo, Mrs. Betty Bireley, Barbara and John Burns, Kathy & Victor Mayeron, Georganne and Cliff Williams, The Sheppard Family Foundation, and The News-Press Media Group.
“The Gulf Harbour community has been so supportive of The Heights Foundation and embraced their neighbors in the Harlem Heights community,” said Kathryn Kelly, President and CEO of The Heights Foundation. “Our mission is to build strong, self-sufficient families and education is the key to their success. The monies raised will support our School Success program that includes after school and summer camp programs, academic tutoring, scholarship and college access assistance, school supplies and tuition support.”
