  • Scott IS THE REASON WHY our event rose to the #3 fundraising wine auction in the USA.

Scott Robertson is the finest fundraising auctioneer I have ever seen work a room. From the moment he tackled our Sonoma Wine Country Weekend Auction this past year, his contributions before, during and after were over-the-top. Scott Robertson IS THE REASON WHY our event rose to the #3 fundraising wine auction in the USA.

  • Our experience with Scott convinced us of the wisdom of investing in a professional full-time auctioneer.

We were duly impressed with the results of the 2014 Sonoma Wine Country Weekend event and reached out to auctioneer Scott Robertson to secure his services for our 2015 gala. This was the first time in the 23-year history of the event – Dinner Under the Stars – that Becoming Independent hired a person who makes a full time career of auctioneering. Happily, this shift resulted in a significantly elevated experience from beginning to end. Scott was consistently accessible and responsive, bringing added value from our first point of contact through the event’s de-briefing. He’s a consummate professional and my team and I were particularly appreciative of his holistic approach to donor relations and event management. Scott provided us with wise counsel throughout, was very supportive of our audience development efforts, and was in top form the night of the event. Our experience with Scott, and the record-breaking event results, convinced us of the wisdom of investing in a full-time professional auctioneer for our annual gala. We’ll be using Scott again next year and recommend him highly in all regards.

  • He had everyone so fired up we were taking paintings off the wall and selling them to the highest bidder!

Our first annual ‘All Aboard Fest’ benefiting Susan G Komen was a major leap into the unknown for us at Snook Bight Yacht Club and Bayfront Bistro. Especially challenging was the idea of a $100/plate dinner and live auction. Would we fill the house? Would we have the right auction items and so on? From the start we knew the auctioneer was critical and our experience in the annual SW Florida Wine & Food Fest for Children’s Charities made the decision simple. Scott Robertson and his team of beauties have performed so well with the Wine & Food Fest that we were not surprised when we successfully generated over $70,000 on the auction night for our All Aboard Fest event. Scott got maximum price for every item and had everyone so fired up we were taking paintings off the wall and selling them to the highest bidder! Thanks Scott! A great job, once again.

  • He had the crowd eating out of his hand – he even sold his gavel for $1500!

What a joy and privilege it was working with Scott for the Guadalupe Center’s “A Taste of China” event. From the first moment of contact, his level of commitment and professionalism was front and center. He made the trip to Immokalee to tour the center, thereby becoming familiar with our purpose and need. He was always available to answer questions as we worked to build a successful auction – his input was invaluable, suggestions were excellent. The results were way beyond our projections. With his charm and enthusiasm, he had the crowd eating out of his hand – he even sold his gavel for $1500!! We have no doubt that if allowed, he would have successfully sold the left-overs. Will we use him again . . . you bet. Would we recommend him. . . . . ABSOLUTELY! Thank you Scott.

  • Not only did he make me look good; his engaging and professional style led us to raise record contributions.

As a first time event planner I relied heavily on the advice of Auctioneer Scott Robertson.   He was always available to answer my questions and his advice was right on.  I was apprehensive on the days leading up to the auction but thanks to Scott’s guidance and support the event went on without a flaw.  Participants in the event complimented me on my choice of auctioneers. Not only did he make me look good; his engaging and professional style led us to raise record contributions for the Women's Resource Center of Southern West Virginia.  I will always trust Scott Robertson to provide the most excellent auctioneer services.
Valerie Ritter, Auction Chairman - Women’s Resource Center of Southern WV
  • He maximizes every opportunity to engage the audience.

I have attended two auctions in the past 30 days and Scott Robertson was the auctioneer. He is simply awesome! He truly has a gift and passion for his work. The energy in the room continues to build and the enthusiasm for the event grows as the evening progresses. I believe he maximizes every opportunity to engage the audience. What a pro!

  • Hiring Scott as an auctioneer will double your fund raising.

I have known Scott for over ten years and I can truly say there is no other auctioneer that has added more value to my artwork by detailing the creation of my paintings and what it means to raise funds for marine life. Besides his sense of humor he is a fisherman, conservationist and all round great guy. Scott helps the Coastal Conservation Association not only as a job but personally because he cares. Hiring Scott as a auctioneer will double your fund raising. I highly recommend him.
Carey Chen, Noted Marine Artist and Conservationist
  • Scott more than paid for himself.

Scott did a wonderful job for the Canterbury School Extravaganza. He brought us new and creative ideas that enabled us to raise funds for the school’s need-based financial aid program. He is easy to work with and very accessible. He is a true professional and we had a real sense of comfort going into our event knowing that Scott was our auctioneer. He helped us raise money smoothly and efficiently both before and during the event. He knew his audience and worked the crowd well in knowing when to push and when to back off. As a result, he more than paid for himself.

  • A true professional, Scott helped put our event over the top.

As event planners, we are always looking at ways to enhance our events for clients. Working with Scott did just that. His pre-event preparation and communication ensured that when event day came around, there was less stress for us and gave us the best opportunity for a successful evening. Scott was easy to work with  throughout the process and gave our event the personal touch that our client and guests were looking for. A true professional, Scott helped put our event over the top.

  • Pre-event thoughts: Expensive. Post-event thoughts: Bargain!

There are not enough wonderful adjectives to describe Scott Robertson. He did an outstanding job as event fundraising consultant/auctioneer for the Taste of China Gala. We host this annual event to raise funds to continue the good work of the Guadalupe Center in Collier County Florida. From our first meeting he proved to be knowledgeable, professional, organized, charming and always available with answers and encouragement. His knowledge of his craft made for a fabulous evening of enjoyment and success. He helped us meet and surpass our goal of $350,000 with an event that generated over $500,000.00 net profit. Needless to say we were thrilled with Scott’s performance both prior to and during the auction. One our signature events of the evening, a call for cash donations, raised four times what it had the previous year. The difference was the enthusiasm for the mission that Scott was able to generate with our attendees. When we first hired Scott we felt he was very ‘expensive’. When the event was over, we felt we had received a real ‘bargain’ and were blessed to have found him. If you need an auctioneer, do one stop shopping with Scott Robertson. He is the complete package!
Sue Dillon, Co-Chair - A Taste of China
  • You helped generate the most money our committee has raised in 20+ years!

A most sincere thank you and “tip of the hat” to your crowd pleasing skills. Taking on our event and unusual auction items was a great success from our perspective. You worked an audience of 370+ Ducks Unlimited members into generating the most money our committee has raised in 20+ years! Many in the audience, and our committee commented to me both during and after the event that... 'you are the best auctioneer they have ever seen!' Also they love the wild tuxedo vest and tie you wear. Keep up the great work!

Jim Moreland, Auction Chairman of Ducks Unlimited
  • He is absolutely at the top of his game when he is raising money.

Scott Robertson is a delight to work with. His genuine enthusiasm and love of what he does comes across at every event he undertakes. He is absolutely at the top of his game when he is raising money for the organizations that hire him. Scott is a first rate auctioneer, and a consummate pro!

  • Scott managed to get double the price that the prior auctioneer brought in for the same item!

It's all about money. Same items double the money. Scott knows how to get the most money for the item. The Pirate's Live Auction 2012 doubled funds raised in 2011 not because we had more items, or better items, or even different items. Many of the items auctioned were the same items that were donated for last year's event. Scott managed to get double the price that the prior auctioneer brought in for the same item! He builds the excitement in the room to a frenzy. Some folks were actually raising their own bid, intentionally! Considering all the work that goes into planning the auction and getting donations it only makes sense to secure the auctioneer who can maximize the bids. Scott is that auctioneer. The crowd threw money at him, and then praised him. A spiritual experience.
Laura Smith, Chairperson, Island Pirate Fest (2011, 2012)
  • He is extremely personable and very easy to work with.

I have been doing Charity Auctions in Naples for the last 25 years. I recently had the pleasure of working with a true professional, Scott Robertson, at the NCH Hospital Ball. I was not only impressed with Scott's auction talent, but by the fact that he is extremely personable and very easy to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend him, and also look forward to working with him at another Charity event in the near future.
Mayor Bill Barnett, City of Naples, Florida
  • His fundraising ability stems from his belief and passion for our mission.

Scott's ability to bring out the best in our gala patrons stems from his belief and passion for the mission of Hodges University to provide critical scholarships for its students. His personal and professional involvement and commitment has assured the success of our Spring Golf Classic & Scholarship Gala year over year. He is not only a great auctioneer but a valued member of our University family.
Phil Memoli, Director of Development, Hodges University
  • He brings energy, excitement and experience to the stage of fundraising.

Scott Robertson, auctioneer extraordinaire, brings energy, excitement and experience to the stage of fundraising.  Scott does his homework, knows his audience and the auction items offered.  He engages the audience and encourages them to share their resources.   With Scott’s gift for persuasion, The Christ School has raised over $500,000 to further the mission of our K-8 school.  The Christ School has booked Scott for yet another Mane Event auction and we look forward to partnering for another successful fundraising event.
Joanne Fleming, Director of Development and Special Projects - The Christ School, Orlando, FL
  • You can tell he truly cares about the success of the event for the charity.

As our event's founding Auctioneer, and throughout our event's five year history, Scott Robertson has helped us to achieve outstanding success for our McFlat's Invitational fundraiser. Scott knows how to engage the crowd in a manner that is fun, entertaining, and of course brings in incredible donations for the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida. You can tell Scott truly enjoys auctioneering and with that being said the crowd enjoys it as well - one of the best things about Scott is that not only is he a great Auctioneer, you can tell he truly cares about the success of the event for the charity. I couldn't be more happy than to have him as a part of this event, he truly is the 'Icing on the Cake'.
Tim Frederic, Frederic McDonald's of Southwest Florida
  • He is our go to guy for all of our auctions and we schedule our events around his schedule.

CCA Florida has been using Scott Robertson for over 10 years at our fundraising events.  In that span Scott has conducted over 150 auctions for us.  He is our go to guy for all of our auctions and we schedule our events around his schedule to be sure he is there.  Scott is very personable, dependable, witty, funny, professional and has all the attributes you need to be a great auctioneer.  Scott knows how to work a crowd and make the most for our charity.  I would highly recommend Scott for any charity auction.  You’ll never have to search for an auctioneer again!

  • Many auctioneers have experience, but few have the whole package.

Scott brings so much to an auction. With Scott spearheading our auction and providing valuable insight to our auction committee, the SWFL Wine & Food Fest has become one of the top 10 wine related fundraisers in the nation, raising $752,000 in 2009 and $932,000 in 2010. Many auctioneers have experience, but few have the whole package. Scott is an astute student of his crowd and has the unique ability to build momentum, which generates enhanced levels of giving.
Steve Machiz, Chairman SWFL Wine & Food Fest
  • We will never host an event without him.

In 2009 Child Care of Southwest Florida hosted our first annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner and Auction. Having never put together a silent and live auction before I was apprehensive on how all the pieces fit together. This is when Scott Robertson stepped in and showed the committee the key components to a successful auction. What a relief! His willingness to share his knowledge and expertise with us was invaluable. Most people think Scott’s skill is behind the microphone exciting the audience and cajoling bidders to bid higher. I think his skill is his knowledge based upon the hundreds of successful charity auctions he has conducted. We will never host an event without him.
