This first-time event was held to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation located in Southwest Florida.  The organizers hosted the event at their venue, a high-end marina and top-rated local waterfront restaurant.  Never having done this before, the group arranged notable auction packages and relied on a professional auctioneer to work the crowd.  The event netted $70,000 for the charity and set the stage for an annual event.
